Daniela Clementi is a Production Designer and multidisciplinary artist with over twenty years of professional experience across film, advertising, and independent projects. She lives and works internationally between New York, Chile, and Barcelona.
As a production designer, she has collaborated with a wide range of directors, across different formats, budgets, and visual languages. This breadth of experience has shaped a flexible and highly collaborative approach to visual storytelling. Her work is driven by narrative clarity and a strong attention to space, color, texture, and objects as active storytelling elements, creating environments that support character, tone, and emotion rather than functioning as decoration.
In parallel to her production design career, Clementi develops her own work as a director and filmmaker, operating between documentary and fiction. Her personal projects are rooted in autobiographical material and explore themes of vulnerability, impermanence, and disorientation through a precise and restrained visual language.
Her background in production design deeply informs her directing practice. Whether designing for other filmmakers or working independently with her own camera, she approaches space as a narrative structure—one that carries memory, meaning, and emotional weight. Working solo has become a deliberate part of her process, allowing for intimacy, adaptability, and a distinct authorial voice.
